"The Shot of Hope". Sergeу Yastrzhembskiy started shooting a new film

Sergey Yastrzhembskiy and the Yastrebfilm Studio have started working on a new documentary film The Shot of Hope. The shootings have started in early February in the United Arab Emirates.

The filming crew got interested in the unique project undertaken in the UAE aiming at reintroduction of several species of wild animals that once inhabited the whole Arabian desert. The long-term objective of this project is to do the trophy hunting in the Emirates. Strictly speaking, the film The Shot of Hope will speak about trophy hunting, or rather about its unconditional, but little known to the wider audience, beneficial influence on the conservation of the wildlife.

The director, a famous trophy hunter, believes that radical ecological and vegan sentiments have widely spread in the 21st century. Those who express these opinions aggressively plant the anti-hunting ideas, discrediting any kind of hunting and defaming hunters. "We want to restore justice and place things in context" says Sergey Yastrzhembskiy, "we are going to create a film revealing how a provident state policy and properly organized hunting will transform this ancient human skill into a highly profitable and ecologically invulnerable branch of the economy”.

According to the director's idea, geography of filming will cover countries very different from each other, such as: the United States, Kenya, Canada, Tajikistan, Russia, Germany and many others.

The Yastrebfilm studio plans to complete the film by the end of 2019.
